Description

The Gamay de Bouze is a grape variety of Burgundian origin which was noticed in Bouze-les-Beaune in the 19th century. Its originality is to give grapes with red juice and not white juice. It was very successful in the Cher Valley until it was abandoned by the INAO in the early 1980s. It is really necessary to discover it because it has a superb matter, with a lot of elegance.

The result is a very dense wine, with an intense dark color overflowing with black fruit aromas. We discover all of a sudden, this spectacular wine that we used to drink with its strength, and also its elegance. Its tannins are very present but round and harmonious. Its density and structure are impressive and cannot be compared to any other existing Gamay.

To be drunk young, 2-4 years for the brightness of its fruit, but can age very well in the cellar.
To be enjoyed chilled 12-14° C
